বিষয়: নোটে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ভাঁজ।
জানিনা কতজন নোটের বিভিন্ন ভাঁজ নিয়ে চিন্তা করবেন।ফরেনসিক সাইন্সে বিভিন্নভাবে বিভিন্ন অর্থ আছে। কেবলমাত্র ধারনার জন্য একটি ছোট লিস্ট দিলাম।
কোন নোটের/কাগজী আইটেমের অবস্থা বিবেচনায় সেই আইটেমে কি ধরনের ফোল্ড আছে তা দেখে সেটা বাজারে প্রচলিত কি না তা বুঝার চেষ্টা করা যায়।
এ বিষয় নিয়ে আগ্রহ থাকলে তবেই আমি বিস্তারিত লিখব। আর কোন ধরনের বৈশিষ্ট্য দেখে কিভাবে বুঝবেন তা ও বিস্তারিত আলোচনার মাধ্যমে কথা বলা যায়।
Corner Fold- It is often used as personal habit and identification mark.
Zigzag Fold- Often used to fit the note in small space. Such as in the Prison.
Pocket fold- Folds that are created for keeping the note in the pocket.
Wallet fold-Folds that are created for keeping the note in a folded wallet.
Counting fold- Folds or wavey patterns that are created from counting machine and hand counting.
Thread fold- Folds or wavey pattern that are created on a banknote due to It's security thread.
Transit fold- Folds that are originated because of careless packaging of banknotes.
Crumpled Fold- Folds that are produced due to incorrect handling,Example: Beggar's bowl,Drug money etc.
Fan Fold- Happens during counting in a cash register,A series of parallel creases running across the width of the banknote is noticable.
Pinch Fold-Observe a distinct, sharp crease along one edge or corner of the banknote.
Tape Fold-This fold indicates that the bill has undergone some level of damage and repair. Irregular surface texture is a sign.
Crease Fold- Crease fold occurs when the banknote has been deliberately or accidentally folded in a way that creates a deep, prominent crease.Example: Ticket collection agents in some countries make this.
Ink Transfer Fold- This can occur when a banknote is folded and placed in close proximity to a surface with wet ink,Happen often a banknote is ironed while keeping on top of a newspaper or book.
Rolled Fold-Banknote is tightly rolled, usually for concealment or snorting. May leave a distinct cylindrical shape on the banknote along the length.
Water Fold-Water fold refers to the damage caused by exposure to water, resulting in the banknote becoming damp or wet.
Origami fold- Generally used as a form of art. Will have distinct geometrical pattern.
